Water Pressure Sensor

Water Pressure Sensor | Transducers & Transmitters for Pumps, RO & HVA

Winsen water pressure sensors measure gauge or absolute pressure in pumps, pipelines, RO/UF skids, boilers, and HVAC water loops. Choose rugged industrial transmitters with 4–20 mA / 0–10 V outputs, or OEM sensor cores for compact devices and smart meters.

Overview & Types

Water pressure sensors convert hydrostatic or line pressure into a calibrated electrical signal. For industrial water, the common modes are:

Gauge pressure — pipelines, pumps, RO/UF skids, boilers, HVAC water loops.

Absolute pressure — special reference measurements and test benches.

Differential pressure (ΔP) — across filters, membranes and orifices to monitor fouling and flow.

    Integration & Installation

4–20 mA (2-wire): Best for long noisy runs to PLC/BMS. Use 12–36 VDC loop power and keep loop impedance within spec.

0–10 V: Simple to panel meters/DAQ; ensure high-impedance input (>10 kΩ) and clean supply.

Mechanical: Mount away from check/solenoid valves to reduce hammer; add a snubber; orient process port upward when possible to avoid air pockets.

    • Confirm overload/burst vs. transient spikes.
    • Select seal materials for temperature and chemistry.
    • For ΔP tubing, use equal length and add drip loops/air traps.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What range should I choose for water systems?

0–6 bar for RO/UF, 0–10 bar for building water and HVAC loops, 0–16 bar for boosters/sprinklers, and up to 25 bar for boilers. Use compound ranges if slight vacuum occurs.

Which diaphragm and seals are best?

SS316L suits most water; ceramic improves tolerance to pulsation/solids. Choose EPDM for potable water, FKM for hot water, and PTFE for chemical compatibility.

    How to mitigate water hammer?

Install a snubber/restrictor, place the sensor away from fast valves, and consider accumulators; verify overload and burst ratings.

    Can I monitor filter fouling?

Yes. Use a differential pressure transducer across the filter housing to trend ΔP and plan cartridge changeouts.

Do you offer sanitary or flush-diaphragm builds?

Yes. We can customize tri-clamp and flush-mount process connections for food/pharma water with CIP/SIP.

    What documentation can I get?

Standard test reports are included; calibration certificates and serialized labels are available per your QA program.
