Winsen supplies low-range differential pressure (ΔP) transducers designed for HVAC, cleanrooms, filter status, fume hoods, VAV boxes, and process diagnostics. Built on a stable MEMS core with precision temperature compensation, our ΔP devices deliver linear, low-noise signals via 4–20 mA, 0–10 V, ratiometric 0.5–4.5 V, or I²C outputs.

Overview & Working Principle

A differential pressure transducer measures the pressure difference between two ports (High/Low). The sensing diaphragm deflects with ΔP, and the signal-conditioning ASIC converts it into a calibrated electrical signal. Bidirectional variants read both positive and negative pressure relative to the low port—ideal for room pressurization and airflow elements.

    Power up and allow 1–5 minutes warm-up. Vent both ports to ambient (tubes off or both open), then press the ZERO key or use the software command. For analog units, trim to 0 V or 4 mA with both ports vented.

    How should I route the tubing for best accuracy?

    Keep H/L tubes equal length, avoid kinks, and mount ports level. Use short runs for faster dynamics and add hydrophobic filters or drip loops to keep moisture out.

    Will long tubing slow the response?

    Yes—added volume and friction create damping. Shorten lines or increase ID for quicker response, and apply 0.5–3 s averaging to stabilize HVAC readings.

    What is the static pressure rating vs. the ΔP range?

    ΔP range is the measurable difference; static pressure is the absolute pressure present on both ports. Verify the sensor’s maximum static rating exceeds your duct or process static pressure.

    How does temperature affect accuracy?

    Sensors are temperature-compensated, but residual error remains. Install away from heat sources, allow warm-up, and request multi-point calibration over your operating band if needed.

    What calibration interval do you recommend?

    Commonly 12 months for HVAC/cleanrooms; 6 months for critical processes. We can provide certificates and help align intervals with your QA procedures.
