Overview & Types

Air pressure sensors convert pneumatic pressure into an electrical signal. In industrial automation and HVAC, the three common measurement modes are:

Gauge (relative to atmosphere) — for compressors, manifolds, tools (0–10/16 bar), and vacuum (−100…0 kPa).

Absolute (vacuum reference) — for barometric/altitude and environmental compensation.

Differential (ΔP) — for duct static, filter status and airflow elements in Pascals.
